River Logic anounces the release of Enterprise Optimizer® Server 4.1
Dallas, TX – December 1, 2015 –
Dallas, Texas, December 1, 2015 – River Logic Inc., a leading provider of prescriptive business analytics software, today announced the release of Enterprise Optimizer® Server version 4.1, a major update to the 4.0 release in November 2014. The new release adds many new customer-requested features, including 11 new task types to support deploying solutions based on River Logic’s top-ranked optimization modeling platform, Enterprise Optimizer® (EO).
First released in 2009, EO Server is designed specifically for fast and easy deployment of optimization-based solutions behind corporate firewalls or in public or private cloud environments. EO Server requires no code writing to set up and work properly. It is particularly useful for managing complex jobs requiring many tasks — including conditional logic — or when needing to automate solving a stochastic EO model thousands of times in a batch.
The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) allows application developers to quickly build robust, secure, and scalable solutions, and EO Server’s built-in security model incorporates Windows authentication for multi-user and multi-tenant solutions. End-users can access EO models from a secure browser by leveraging EO Server’s Web Services plug-in.
"EO Server 4.1 is another major advancement, especially when considering the new high-value tasks for model interaction and conditional logic flow control,” stated Eric Kelso, Vice President of Product Management at River Logic.
Kelso continued, “EO Server 4.1 now has over 50 task types, making it even easier for customers to tie many diverse business processes together to create one holistic model.”
As noted by Kelso, the significant enhancements of EO Server 4.1 include:
- Full support for the latest Enterprise Optimizer® 8.5
- Support for SQL Server® Express LocalDB and SQL Server® 2014 databases
- Support for running SSIS packages in SQL Server® 2012 and 2014
- Ability to execute insert/update/delete queries and write to/read from user-defined objects stored inside EO models
- New task types for a parent job to manage child jobs
- Additional right-click menu options for easier use
- Increased performance for simultaneous job execution
- Enhanced messaging
“Most of the enhancements in this release were due to great customer feedback and suggestions." said Kelso. "Users will now be able to deploy their EO-based solutions even faster and easier thanks to this update.”
